Demorest’s Glorious Fourth Celebration Returns July 4 with Parade, Live Music, Fireworks and Family Fun

DEMOREST, Ga. — The City of Demorest is preparing for a full day of patriotic festivities as its annual Glorious Fourth of July Celebration returns on Saturday, July 4, offering everything from a morning 5K race and parade to live music, family activities, tournaments, and a fireworks finale.

The celebration will begin with the Run for Glory 5K at 7 a.m., followed by one of the community’s most anticipated traditions, the Glorious Fourth of July Parade, which steps off at 11 a.m. in downtown Demorest.

Can’t Make It to the Parade? Watch Live

For those unable to attend in person, Habersham News plans to provide a free live broadcast of the Glorious Fourth of July Parade. The livestream will be available on the Habersham News Facebook page (facebook.com/habershamnews) beginning at 11 a.m.

Following the parade, festivities will continue throughout the afternoon with a live DJ performing from noon until 5:30 p.m.

Competitive events will also be featured during the celebration. A horseshoe tournament is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m., with a cornhole tournament to follow immediately after the horseshoe competition concludes.

Live entertainment will take center stage during the evening hours. Local performer David Anderson will take the stage at 5:30 p.m., providing music and entertainment before the night’s featured performance.

At 7:30 p.m., high-energy party band Stereo Superstar will headline the celebration. The band was recently selected by the Demorest City Council and is known for its energetic stage presence and crowd-pleasing mix of popular hits.

The day will conclude with Fireworks in the Park beginning at approximately 9:45 p.m., lighting up the night sky above Demorest and bringing the community celebration to a close.

In addition to the scheduled events, attendees can enjoy festival activities, food, family-friendly entertainment, and opportunities to celebrate Independence Day with friends and neighbors throughout the day.

City officials encourage residents and visitors to arrive early, bring lawn chairs, and plan to spend the day enjoying one of Northeast Georgia’s largest Independence Day celebrations.
