DEMOREST, Ga. — From an early morning 5K to an evening fireworks show, Demorest’s 250th Fourth of July celebration promises a full day of activities for all ages on Friday, July 4.
The festivities begin at 7 a.m. with the Run for Glory 5K, followed by a petting zoo opening at 10 a.m.
One of the day’s biggest attractions, the annual Fourth of July Parade, steps off at 11 a.m. through downtown Demorest. Those unable to attend in person can watch the parade live on the Habersham News Facebook page at facebook.com/habershamnews.
Following the parade, visitors can enjoy live entertainment throughout the afternoon. A live DJ will perform from noon until 5:30 p.m., providing music while festival-goers explore the celebration.
Competitive spirits can take part in the horseshoe tournament, which begins at 12:30 p.m., followed by a cornhole tournament later in the afternoon.
Live music takes center stage beginning at 5:30 p.m. when David Anderson performs. The celebration continues with Stereo Superstar taking the stage at 7:30 p.m.
The evening concludes with a fireworks display at 9:45 p.m.
Parking Available Throughout the Festival Area
Visitors are encouraged to review the accompanying parking map before arriving. Parking will be available at multiple locations throughout downtown Demorest and around the festival grounds. Arriving early is recommended, particularly for those planning to attend the parade.

Habersham News will once again provide a live broadcast of the Demorest Fourth of July Parade, allowing those who cannot attend—or who prefer to watch from home—to enjoy the celebration live.
