CLARKESVILLE, Ga. — The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office is alerting residents to be on the lookout for a Florida murder suspect who investigators say is known to frequent Habersham County and other parts of North Georgia.
The advisory was issued at the request of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, which is seeking the public’s help in locating Isabelle Rose Johnson, 38, who is wanted on a murder charge.
According to Walton County investigators, Johnson is wanted in connection with an ongoing homicide investigation after human remains were discovered buried in a shallow grave on a property off Sunset Lane in Freeport, Florida.
Authorities describe Johnson as a white female, 5 feet 3 inches tall and approximately 120 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Investigators believe she may have recently cut and dyed her hair in an effort to change her appearance.
Investigators say Johnson is known to use multiple aliases, including:
- Harley
- Jessica Elaine Bowman
- Jessica Elaine Thrush
- Jessica Elaine Thrash
- Jessica Dowdy
- Possibly “Denise”
According to the sheriff’s office, Johnson has connections to Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida and has been known to frequent several areas in Georgia, including Habersham County, Athens-Clarke County, Carroll County, Harris County, and the city of Newnan. She also has known ties to Covington County and Geneva County in Alabama.
Investigators say Johnson is believed to travel between multiple locations and may persuade people to provide transportation, money, or other assistance by claiming to be a victim of domestic violence or other personal hardships.
Authorities say she may have a floral tattoo on her left hand near the thumb and forefinger, as well as a tattoo on her right ankle.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office considers Johnson to be dangerous. Anyone who believes they have seen her should not approach her and should instead call 911 immediately.

A reward of up to $11,000 is being offered for information leading to Johnson’s arrest.
