The Habersham County Board of Commissioners will host a Purple Heart Appreciation Day Luncheon on Friday, Aug. 7, recognizing the courage, sacrifice and service of the county’s veterans.
The luncheon begins at noon at Habersham EMC Headquarters, located at 6135 Highway 115 West in Clarkesville. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.
All Habersham County veterans are invited to attend the event, which will bring the community together to honor those who have served the nation.

The event comes as local leaders and residents recognize the service and dedication of veterans throughout Habersham County.
