The Habersham Central Raiders will take the field tonight for their first action of the 2026 football season, traveling to Lumpkin County for a 7:30 p.m. scrimmage.
While the matchup will not count in the regular-season standings, it gives Raider Nation an early opportunity to support the players and coaches as they prepare for the season ahead.
Habersham Central’s regular season begins Friday, Aug. 21, with a 7:30 p.m. road game at Hart County. The Raiders then return home Friday, Aug. 28, to face Stephens County in their first home game of the year.
The Stephens County matchup is always a favorite for the home crowd and should provide an electric setting for the Raiders’ home opener.
Other home games on the schedule include Jackson County on Sept. 25, Clarke Central on Oct. 9, Cedar Shoals on Oct. 30 and Mountain View on Nov. 6. All games are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Habersham Central has open dates Sept. 11 and Oct. 16.
