Dogs will take center stage at the third annual Dogs of Summer Pet Pageant, set for Saturday, Aug. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Aerial Mountain Springs Venue.
The event will raise money for Habersham County Animal Care and Control through a silent auction and 50/50 raffle.
Dogs may compete in several categories, including costume, most dapper, swimsuit and talent. The pageant will also crown Mr. and Mrs. Dogs of Summer.
Admission is $20 per family, $10 for an individual or $60 for VIP tickets. The entry fee for competitors is $5 per dog, per category, and includes free admission for participating dogs’ handlers.
The Dogs of Summer Pet Pageant is now in its third year. Organizers hope the family-friendly event will bring the community together for an evening of entertainment while supporting animals in Habersham County.
