Bowman Lee Blackburn

Bowman Lee Blackburn entered this world at 11:02 a.m. on September 16, 2026, and at 5:54 p.m. that same day, he peacefully went home to be with Jesus. Though we were given only 6 hours and 52 precious minutes with our sweet boy, Bowman filled a lifetime of love into those few short hours.

He was deeply loved before we ever held him, and even more deeply cherished in every moment we were blessed to have him in our arms. Bowman was precious, beautiful, and so incredibly loved. His life may have been brief, but his purpose was not. He touched more hearts in his short time here than we could ever put into words.

We will carry our sweet boy with us for the rest of our lives until the day we are reunited with him in Heaven. Our hearts ache because we miss him, but we find comfort in knowing that Bowman is completely healed, safe in the arms of Jesus, and will never know pain again.

Six hours and fifty-two minutes on Earth. Forever our son. Forever loved. Forever with the Lord..

Survivors include his parents, Benjamin and Karlie Blackburn, of Demorest; as well as his sisters, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Jeryle Roach officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 21, 2026 at the funeral home.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, P.O. Box 1113, Cornelia, Georgia 30531 to assist the family with final expenses.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Chapel at 245 Central Avenue, Demorest, Georgia 30535. Telephone: 706-778-1700.
