The No. 4-ranked Tallulah Falls Lady Indians earned a straight-set road win over Lakeview on Monday, winning 25-21, 25-16, 25-16.
“We got better as the night went on, which is exactly what we wanted after a week off,” coach Matt Heyl said. “We got off to a bit of a slow start and had trouble finishing the match, and playing cleanly at the end of the set. Finally, in the third set we finished well and took control at the end.”
Finlee Ridlehoover ran the offense with some of her best setting of the season. Corinne Swinton led the attack with 11 kills, while Stella Bowman and Shelby Whisnant each had eight kills. Beatriz Araujo added seven kills.
Emma Whisnant played relentless defense, pursuing each ball and delivering touches to Ridlehoover.
The Lady Indians improved to 14-9 overall and 6-1 in region play. Tallulah Falls will host George Walton on Tuesday.
