Chambers Heads to Presbyterian to Cheer at Division I Level

Another Habersham Central cheerleader is taking the next step.

Elloree Chambers recently signed to continue her cheer career at Presbyterian College, earning the opportunity to compete at the Division I level following her time with the Raiders.

Surrounded by family, teammates, and coaches, Chambers celebrated her signing at a special ceremony recognizing both her athletic achievement and the work it took to get there.

Chambers has been a key member of Habersham Central’s cheer program, building a reputation for her commitment, leadership, and drive. Her journey to the collegiate level reflects years of dedication and growth within the program.

Her varsity basketball cheerleading coach spoke about the broader impact of her accomplishment, saying, “I am thrilled for all of the possibilities Elloree has through continuing her cheer career at Presbyterian. When a cheerleader commits to cheering at the collegiate level after her time with us, she does more than continue her athletic career; she sets a new standard for those who follow. Each athlete who takes that next step helps redefine what it means to be a Raider Cheerleader, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, growth, and excellence.”

The coach added that athletes like Chambers help inspire the next generation, noting, “Every member of our program who goes on to cheer in college shows the next generation what is possible. Their success proves that the discipline, teamwork, and commitment developed in Raider Cheer can prepare athletes to compete at the highest levels, including Division I programs.”

For Chambers, the opportunity is something she once never imagined.

“Getting to cheer at a Division I school is very surreal,” she said. “Never in a million years did I ever think it would be a possibility. Coach Claire Stevenson is the whole reason that I thought that I could cheer at the next level, and she helped push me towards it and has been someone for me to lean on along the way.”

Her signing represents not only a personal milestone, but also another example of Habersham Central athletes continuing their careers at the collegiate level.

As Chambers prepares to begin her next chapter at Presbyterian College, she carries with her the support of her coaches, teammates, and the Habersham community—along with the opportunity to inspire those who will follow in her footsteps.
